Joan Hill Marshburn, 72, the daughter of the late Dock and Addie Harrison Hill passed away Sunday. Funeral service will be held 2:00 Wednesday at Benson Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Cashwell officiating. Burial will follow at Baptist Center Church Cemetery. Mrs. Marshburn, a retired school teacher is survived by her husband of 43 years, Allan E. Marshburn, Jr., her children, Julie M. Strickland of Clayton, David T. Marshburn of Clayton and Lisa M. Edgeworth of Marietta, GA., grandchildren, Tyler Marshburn, Makayla Haddix, Megan Strickland, Nicholas Edgeworth, Madison Edgeworth and Shiloh Marshburn. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by siblings, Edith Page, Estelle Sasser, Bernice Pope, Eleanor Stephenson, Dorothy Barbour, Gwendolyn Hill, Devan Hill, Jeanette Sherwood, Betty Keene and Sherwood Hill. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 1-2:00pm at the church.
