Joanne Barone King

Joanne Barone King age 72, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 Joann, a master gardener, was born in New Haven, CT on June 29, 1953, to the late Joseph and Janice Romberg Barone. Joann was a faithful member of Saint Ann’s Catholic Church and loved to cook and play Scrabble and word games.

She is survived by husband of 42 years, Harris King, sisters, Carolyn Hofmann (Frank) of New Hampshire and Mary Barone (Al Drozdowski) of Connecticut; brothers, Paul Barone (Jennifer) of Vermont, Michael Barone (Dana) of Colorado, and Donald Barone (Lauren Alpert); sisters-in-law, Darlene Barone and Beverly Jordan; stepdaughters, Tammy Nielsen (Lance), Vicki Sinibaldi and Montine Riordan (William); grandchildren, Michele, Eric, Nicole, Amber, Melody, Jenn, Kaitlin, Bruce, Tyler, Jake and Lexi; 16 great grandchildren, nephews and nieces; Nick, James, Sarah, Luke, Thomas Barone, Will and Clara Drozdowski. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brothers, David Barone and Thomas Barone.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
