Joy was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 30, 1965 to Georgia "Jo" Ellen Bedee and the late James Jay Hutchinson. She was a registered nurse and enjoyed taking care of her patients. More than that, she loved spending time with her family and friends. A devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend; she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Eric S. Hutchinson and his wife, Chelsea; mother, Georgia "Jo" Hutchinson; longtime partner, Steven Burgess; brother, Russell Hutchinson; brother, Eric W. Hutchinson and his wife, Stacy and their son, Zachary.
The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 7:30pm on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US HWY 70 Business West, Clayton, NC 27520.
