Judith Ann Picariello, 81, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025. Born in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Eugene and Julia Grabowski, Judith was a devoted wife, loving mother, and woman of Catholic faith. She and her husband made their home in Sayville, New York, where they raised their family and became beloved members of the community.
Judith worked as a teacher’s aide, finding joy and purpose in helping children with autism. Her kindness and patience touched many lives. She also loved gardening, creating spaces full of color and beauty.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard Picariello; her children, Laura and David Picariello; and her grandchildren, Makayla, Nikolas, and Jocelyn. Judith leaves behind a loving family and community that is better for having known her.
A prayer service will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 2:00pm at McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel, Clayton, NC.
