She was born in San Bernardino, California on October 13, 1942 to the late Charles Tinkler and the late Muriel Herrick Tinkler.

Mrs. Eckert, before moving to North Carolina, was a long-time resident of Big Bear Lake California where she was an active member of the community with her husband David. She Retired from the San Bernadino County Sherrif’s department where she worked for 25 years. Her life loves were family, friends, dogs and when in the kitchen it was baking.

She is survived by her husband David Eckert; son, Christopher Eckert.
