Mr. Kenneth G Wendel, Sr.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 1:00 PM on Friday, August 9, 2024 at the American Legion Post #71, 1300 Old U.S. Highway 70, Clayton, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

He was born in Elmont, New York on June 7, 1941 to the late Gustav Wendel and the late Lillian Walker Wendel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Pattiann Wendel and brother Robert Wendel.

Mr. Wendel was a Veteran of the United States Army and a retired machinist with Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage, NY. He enjoyed helping people, volunteering at the American Legion and watching his grandchildren grow.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Vynne Pontone Wendel; son, Kenneth G Wendel Jr, his wife Dana A Wendel; grandchildren, Lindsay A Wendel, Jason K Wendel and Landon P Wendel and many other close family.
