Larry attended Wilson's Mills School and Hardbarger Junior College. He was a proud member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Clayton, N.C.
He is survived by his wife Ann R. Harper; a daughter, Kimberly Hayes and her husband Fred; a son, Jonathan Harper; and a sister, Elizabeth Jenkins; as well as four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents and his brother, Landis Harper.
