A memorial service to celebrate Leo’s life will be held on April 9th, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton, NC. Inurnment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Clayton. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
He was born June 29, 1935 in Luzerne, PA to the late Guy Emmett Dunham and the late Mary Rose Zekas Dunham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Patricia Anne Sauter Dunham; son Joseph Daniel Dunham; two granddaughters, Debbie Dunham and Melissa Dunham: a great granddaughter, Julia Dunham; as well as brother Joe Bernatitus and sister Ann Pilkerton.
Mr. Dunham was retired from Sears & Roebuck with 35 years of service. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, reading, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his two sons, Leo Michael Dunham (Nancylee) and Paul Dunham (Jennifer); six grandchildren, Laurie Dunham, Sarah Abrahams, Rebecca Dunham, Christopher Dunham, Conner Dunham and Alexandria Dunham; four great grandchildren, Mason Abrahams, Sophia Dunham, Mariah Woodard and Ezra Shields; brothers and sisters Jane Boesch, Robert (Bobby) Dunham and Richard Dunham.
