Leon Noble Daughtry

Visitation will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Amelia Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM April 16th at Amelia Christian Church, 1696 Amelia Church Road, Clayton, NC with the Reverend Keith Debord of Amelia Christian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Wood cemetery.

Leon was born in Clayton, NC to Reverend Tiney and Irene Daughtry on July 3rd, 1936. He went to school at Clayton High School. He worked as a salesman for Westinghouse/ North American Phillips for 25 plus years. He owned and operated Leon's Lawn Care for more than 20 years.

Leon Daughtry is preceded in death by parents, son, Michael Daughtry, brother, Billy Daughtry, and sister, Jean Woodall.

Leon leaves behind to cherish his memories the love of his life, of 22 years, Sherry Braswell; sisters, Ruth Dupree and Doris Watson; daughters, Donna Allen, Rhonda Stevens, Amy Adams, and Melissa Reyes; sons Stephen, Scott and Mark Daughtry, and Paul and Christopher White; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Amelia Church Children’s playground fund.
