A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Friday, July 28, 2023 at

St. Mary Mother of the Church in Garner, North Carolina with

interment to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Clayton, North

Carolina.

A wake will occur from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until

8:00 PM Thursday, July 27, 2023 at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton,

North Carolina.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 15, 1949 to the late

Henry Kelly and the late Veronica Brown Kelly. In addition to her

parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Downey;

sister Mary Hoye, brother Richard Kelly; sister-in-law Rochelle Kelly.

Linda enjoyed time with her family, playing video games with her

grandchildren, cruise vacations, and Bingo.

She is survived by her children, Dawn & Michael Kelleher and Michael &

Cheryl Downey; grandchildren, Sean Kelleher, Veronica & Jack

Felbinger, Caitlyn Kelleher and Joseph Downey; great grandchildren,

Madelyn & Luke Felbinger; brothers and sisters, Raymond & Josephine

Kelly, Timothy & Gail Kelly, Patricia & Raymond Chase, Dennis Kelly,

Susan Kelly, Helen Gelb and Ron Audruchowitz; and her sisters-in-law

Theresa Quigley and Margaret Downey.
