Linda Ellis Radford a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and devoted follower of Christ, passed away peacefully at 83, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and family. Born and raised in Clayton, Linda’s life was defined by her deep devotion to her family and her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.
Linda pursued her passion for beauty by attending cosmetology school, where she developed her skills and brought joy to others through her work. Her true calling, however, was her service to the Lord. She was an active member of Everettes Chapel church since 1968, where she sang in the choir, participated in women’s Bible study, taught Sunday school, and humbly served by cleaning the church for a time. Linda’s greatest joy was sharing her faith, talking to others about Jesus, and ensuring their hearts were prepared for heaven through her kind and compassionate outreach.
Above all, Linda’s heart belonged to her family. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren were her greatest passion, and she would do anything and everything for her “babies.” Her boundless love and nurturing spirit left a lasting mark on all who knew her.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Joe; her mother, Thelma; her father, Oris; her brothers, Robert and Doug; her sister-in-law, Portia; and her son-in-law, Buddy. She is survived by her sister, Deborah; her daughter, Pam; her son, Greg (Faye); her grandchildren, Tony (Alicia), Chris (Ashley), and Nikki (David); her great-grandchildren, Tyler (Hailey), Kaila (Phillip), Brett (Ashley), Jacob (Tom), Leah, Jordan (Kristin), Dylan, Devon, Gunner, and Gatlin; and her great-great-grandchildren, Izzy, Keileigh, AJ, Easton, Brantley, Cade, Maddie, Journie, Chandler, Zhyaire, Bella, and Arabella. As well as many nieces and nephews. Linda also leaves behind Mandi and Braedon, who were cherished as part of her extended family.
Linda’s warmth, kindness, and steadfast faith will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her family takes solace in knowing she is now at peace with her Savior, reunited with those who went before her.
