Lois King Day passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the age of 81. Lois was born in Nash County on August 15, 1944, to the late Vannie King and Addie Glover. In addition to her parents, Lois is also preceded in death by her son, Jason Joyner.
She is survived by her husband, Skip Day; daughter, Virginia Hamilton and a son, Scott Joyner; grandchildren, Nikki Joyner, Joseph and Jordan Bledsoe, Jeffrey Joyner, Blake Joyner and Haleigh Joyner; great grandchildren, Hayden Dunn, Gavin Maconochie, Skylar Bledsoe, Keegan Joyner, McCullen Joyner and Jackson Joyner.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 10:00 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour to the service from 9:00 -10:00am. The interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Clayton.
