A Graveside Service will be held June 8, 2026 at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Gastonia, North Carolina at 11:30 am.
Lorene was born March 20, 1942 in Gaston County to the late James Herbert Browder and Beulah Montgomery Browder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Samuel James Browder, James Richard Browder and Maybelle Browder Farris.
Ms. May was retired from Southern Bell. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and listening to Elvis. She was also an avid bird watcher, especially on the first day of Spring.
She is survived by her son, Sam May and his wife Priscilla; brother Willie Lee Browder and niece Crystal Bailey and her children.
