Mrs. Lovina Mezynski

Lovina Thelma Mezynski, 89, of Raleigh passed away peacefully at home with family.

Lovina grew up in Clearwater, FL before joining the U.S. Navy where she served at the Pentagon during the Korean War.

After the Navy, she moved to New York City where she met and married her husband of 44 years, Stanley Mezynski.

As a young mother, she volunteered at Sacred Heart Cathedral School in the learning center. Her favorite hobbies included any type of handcraft. This included anything from beaded flowers to Afghan blankets.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Hedayatzadeh and husband, Shahab and grandsons, David and Joshua.

Lovina is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley and son, Mark Andrew Mezynski.

I remember Mrs. Mezynski working in the learning center at Cathedral school when I was a student there. I'm so sorry for your loss. She was fortunate to have a loving family who took good care of her, and I hope that knowing you did that for her will bring you peace. May she rest in peace.
