
Mary grew up in Lansing, NC and attended Northwest High School and Appalachian State University. She pursued a career in social work with the Council on Aging and lived and worked in Raleigh, NC.
Mary and her loving friend and lifelong partner, Arbie Taylor enjoyed attending sporting events together. They supported and celebrated each other and family. Mary was a loving sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt and friend.
Mary was predeceased by her father Doran Lynch and mother Mae Lynch, her brother Warner Lynch and sister Eva Rushing of Kernersville, NC. She is survived by three sisters, Jennie White of Elizabeth City, Mildred Burnside of Rockwell, and Nancy Nettles of Clayton.
She is survived by five brothers, Jack Lynch of Jefferson, Arvie Lynch of Lansing, Mack Lynch of Madison, Ken Lynch of Sandy Ridge and William Lynch.

Mary requested her ashes be scattered at the Blevins Cemetery in Lansing, NC. A private family service will be planned at a later date. Mary loved the Blue Ridge Mountains. May her gentle spirit rest in peace.
