I am just now seeing this obituary and wanted to send my heartfelt condolences to Lucas, Marcus and Thomas.  your dad and I were good friends and worked together for years. we lost touch after Doña passed and you moved to NC.  May your Dad's memory be a blessing (not that he believed in blessings) and happy memories fill your hearts. I know he thought you boys were the best thing in his life and always talked about you with incredible pride. Much love to you at this sad time.

Mike was my neighbor  while I was in high school.  We had a lot of fun back in those days.  He visited me when I was in college at nearby UNC-G.  He got an apartment in Greensboro while working at a men’s clothing store, and we hung out for a while.  I lost touch with him and learned that he moved to D.C.  still working at the men’s clothing store.  Mike was fun loving and a very sweet natured soul.  We talked a lot and we shared a lot of our personal lives.  I remembered being really surprised to learn that he moved to DC without telling me, but hey, that was Mike!   I always figured that we would see each other again, but no, that never happened.  I kept up with him and his whereabouts through his sister in law.   This is very sad news and I am sorry we never connected again after our college days.  God bless you, Mike and may you rest in peace.
