Mildred Beasley Bailey of Clayton, age 85, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. She was born June 26, 1937 in Johnston County, NC to the late Chester and Inez Barbour Beasley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Norman Beasley, Jerry Beasley, and Larry “Frog” Beasley and sisters, Betty Lou Beasley, and Lynn Beasley Johnson.
Mildred loved the lord and was a proud member of Trinity Freewill Baptist Church for 30 plus years and Everett Chapel Church while she was able to attend. She worked at Norwich Mills that later became Champion Products for many years until her retirement. She loved to ride motorcycles, spend time with her family and friends, and going to church. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, James Earl Bailey, sons, Ed Ferrell Jr. and (Barbara Ann) of Selma, Ricky Ferrell and (Brenda) of Clayton, Bob Ferrell and (Donna) of Zebulon; step children, Danny Bailey and (Joan) and Faith Bailey of Clayton; Grandchildren, Jeremy Ferrell and (Kellie) of Selma, Amber Lowery and (Jason) of Selma, Wendy Thomas and (Dustin) of Clayton, Judy Poole and (John) of Clayton, and Wesley Ferrell of Clayton; Step Grandchildren Richard Broom and (Mary), Megan Ingenthron and Danielle Smith; Great Grandchildren Alexis Ferrell, Lee Thomas, Will Thomas, Madison Ferrell, Skylar Thomas, Payton Ferrell, Jenna Poole, Jonathan Stoebick; sisters, Dolores “Dork” Renfrow of Wendell, and Maxine Beasley of Clayton.
Her family would like to thank the awesome doctors and nurses at UNC Johnston Health and SECU Hospice House for their wonderful care and support in her last days.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at McLaurin Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2:00pm in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the interment following at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
