Mrs. Minnie Lou Wilson Boger, 87, of Clayton died Thursday night, February 4, 2016 at Lee’s Long Term Care in Raleigh. She was born May 10, 1928 in Forsyth County, NC daughter of the late William Henry Wilson and Cora Ann Griffith Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Richard M. Boger, four brothers, Elwood Wilson, Sam Wilson, John Henry Wilson, and Hubert Wilson, and three sisters, Christine Hill, Mary King, and Betty Wilson.
Mrs. Boger was a founding member of New Hope Baptist Church, now known as New Hope Independent Free Will Baptist Church, where she was the pianist for over 20 years.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 7 at 2:00 P.M. at New Hope Independent Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Pate and Rev. Andy Brown officiating. A private burial will be held Monday in Maplewood Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Wilma Evans and husband Bobby of Clayton, Wanda Bourque and husband David of Raleigh, one son, James Boger of Garner, six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 6 from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton.
