Myrtle Alene Isenhour Estes, age 86 of Clayton NC passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 23, 2020. Born in Johnston County on September 8,1934, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha Crocker Hill.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Ralph Isenhour and Amos Estes husband of 9 years, also sisters Shirley Jean Hill (infant) and sister Mildred Narron.
Myrtle worked for the Johnston County School Food Service for 21 years as a lunchroom manager. Myrtle loved to cook, crochet, and above all loved to entertain and create laughter .
Surviving are her sons, Larry Keith Isenhour and wife Mitzie of Smithfield, Ronnie Lee Isenhour and fiancé Lucinda of Middlesex, a sister Rebecca Williamson of Middlesex, grandchildren Leslie, Amanda, Leah, Randall, Madison and Summer.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 11 -2 pm at McLaurin Funeral home in Clayton, followed by a graveside service in the mausoleum at 2 pm.
