Ora Louise Wester Redd, 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. A resident of Wake County, Ora was born on June 26, 1937 to the late Andrew Jackson and Nola Smith Wester. She was the best woman in the world and raised all 5 of her sons, which was the hardest job in the world. She was a great mother in law to her son’s wives. She is survived by her sons, Hurley Jr., Van, Grant, David, and Danny Redd; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a sister, Margie Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hurley Ben Redd, Sr. and all of her brothers and sisters. A celebration of her life will be Tuesday, March 29th, at 11am in the McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel, 12830 US HWY 70 Business West, Clayton, NC 27520.
