Otis Sampson

Otis proudly served in the United States AirForce as a Staff Sergeant in the United States and in Europe. While in the service, he married the love of his life, Diana, and together they shared 59 wonderful years together. In his free time, Otis coached little league baseball, was a Cub Scout Master, and served in his church as a Deacon, in the children’s nursery, and children’s ministry. He was a man who loved the Lord, his family, and friends. Making friends was easy for him and he made them everywhere he went. He will be deeply and greatly missed by many, especially his family and special friends, the Prescott family. Thank you for loving him so!

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Kenny, and his sister, Mary.

Otis is survived by his loving wife, Diana; sons, Scott (Robin); Marc, and Greg; grandchildren, Steph (Matt), Zach (Heather), Gabrielle (Brandon) and Abigail (Kaiden) great grandchildren, Abigale, Georgia, and Eliana.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 4:00pm at Hocutt Baptist Church in Clayton. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm-4:00pm, just prior to the service.
