Dear Michael and Family,

My deepest sympathies to all of you. It was my pleasure to be a friend of Patti's and work with her.
We shared many good times together. I will never forget the time Patti, Amanda and myself decided to get in the car and travel to Williamsburg, Va just for the day. We were exhausted and hungry by the end of the day but had so
many laughs and great times! Patti was such a sweet and kind person and great to be around. I know she suffered
a lot in the last year but now God has called her home and she is at peace. She will be missed but her memories will last forever.

I was hired shortly after Patti with the City of Raleigh. She was absent my first day, but others told me how they introduced her to downtown that first week and the pigeons flocked to her and covered her out stretched arms. That type of reception was not afforded to me and I don't remember that anyone else in our group did either. We had loads of fun throughout those years, attempting to "out poor" each other with stories of our deprived childhoods. You could always count on Patti to have a tale that fit the occasion. She was great with words and always available to inject humorous trivia into any situation. I pray that Michael and the entire Callahan family will be comforted by the knowledge that she was loved and meant a lot to her many co-workers. It's nice to think that maybe she is having fun in Heaven with the angels - no more pain, just laughter, song and memories of our days in Water Billing.

I had the pleasure and honor to have worked with Patti from 2001 until she retired. She was a believer in getting the job done and RIGHT. She was a tough cookie, but loved everyone who worked with her like family. Patti enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. Patti loved speaking about her home family and how they meant the world to her. Prayers to the family during this time for peace and comfort.

Michael, Steven, Daniel and all grandchildren...

I worked with Patti from 1984 until her retirement several years ago. When you work together so long, you are not just coworkers, you are family. We shared so many good times and laughable moments throughout the years.

We enjoyed many "off the clock" times as well. Each occasion always included good conversations and tons of laughter. These memories will always be cherished.

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Rest in peace Patti!

Dear Michael and Family,

I was so sad when I heard of Patti's passing, but after everything she had gone through these past years, she is now at peace and out of pain.

We had so many good times working at the City of Raleigh. I will never forget the time Patti , Amanda and myself went on a "day" trip to Williamsburg, Va - left early and returned home late! We spent all day touring and were so tired and hungry and finally found a place to eat. We had a blast that day!!

I will miss her. My prayers are with the whole family.

There are so many memories I have of Patti. We worked together for 26 years (1979-2005). Many of those years sitting side by side. We were not co-workers, we were family! My three daughters call her Aunt Patti. We shared stories and pictures of our children, talked about our families, our ups and downs. In 1990; Gloria, Anette, Patti and I went on a 4 day trip to Atlantic City, NJ. Patti and I stood in a hallway at the Sands Casino for 3 hours waiting to see Frank Sinatra leave his performance. We had a great time! When Glenwood South came about; Amanda, Vivian, Patti, Sue and I , decided to go out to eat every Thursday night. We were going to eat at a different place each time. Fun days! I also loved her homemade strawberry jelly and pimento cheese.
To Michael, Steven, Daniel and the grandkids, I have said all this to let you know that Patti was loved and will always be remembered by her Water Billing family. Our late boss, John Rogers called her the "Six Million $ Woman" and she was worth that and more. So, whatever comfort friendship can be, it's yours with warm thoughts and my deepest sympathy. To God Be The Glory!!!
