Hattie Stanley Hill. She was preceded in death by her sisters, including Lib Murray, Cindy Braswell, Mable Holmes, Faye Brantley, Louise Clement, Marie Yates, and Brenda Nordman; and by her brothers, including infant Will Thomas, Linwood Hill, Eddie Wilson, and Ray Hill.
Patsy was raised in a large family alongside eleven siblings and was loved her entire life. When Patsy spoke of her childhood, she recalled the many adventures with her siblings, and her mother’s famous homemade biscuits. She enjoyed her time working at Coastal Credit Union and would often reflect on her years of service cheerfully. She was a woman of remarkable kindness, strength, and grace. She was known for her sweet smile, warm heart, and
unconditional love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Patsy’s kindness and love towards others was a prime example of her strong faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
After retiring, Patsy found joy in life's simple pleasures. Many mornings were spent tending to her rose bushes or sitting on her front porch, soaking in the sunshine and greeting neighbors
with her warm smile. She devoted countless summers to caring for her grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations. A faithful presence at ball games,
school events, and family gatherings, Patsy never missed an opportunity to support those she loved.
Patsy is survived by her loving daughter, Sonya Turner; her grandchildren, Jake Turner and his wife, Shelby; Hannah Ruiz and her husband, Julian; and her brother, GB Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Patsy's name may be made to your local SPCA.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00pm at McLaurin Funeral Home with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00pm in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home. The interment will follow the services at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Clayton, NC.
