Peggy worked for many years as a preschool teacher and loved children, considering them all family. She was a wonderful caregiver to her mother, quitting her job to take care of her full time.
A Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 2:00pm in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm, just prior to the service. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by grandparents Jerry and Lillian Dupree, Iolcust and Ruby Gay, and brother-in-law, Daniel Jeffares.
Peggy is survived by sister, Lynn Jeffares; brothers, Will Gay and Wife Susan, Jim Gay and Wife Rita; niece, Tabitha and Husband Jason and their children, Ashlynn, Blake and Cole; and nephews, Timothy and Tommy.
