Peggy King Myatt, loving mother and daughter of the late Claxton King and Ellen Harrell King passed away January 27th, 2020 at the age of 81. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 11:00am in the Chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00am. Mrs. Myatt was born in Newton Grove, NC and graduated from Ingold Taylor Bridge High School in 1956. She was a standout basketball player and captain in high school and received a scholarship offer to play in college but decided to marry and raise a family instead. She worked for years in the food, catering, and banquet industry as a manager and developed marketing plans for such. She is survived by her sons, Thomas A. “Tommy” Myatt, Jr. and his wife Tracy of Clayton, Randy S. Myatt and his wife Sheila of Coats, a daughter; Teresa Myatt Hayes of Clayton, grandchildren; Brandon J. Myatt, Crystal A. Hayes, Nyssa M. High and Ty Alexander Myatt, and 8 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the American Cancer Society, 1285 Rudy St # 103, Onalaska, WI 54650.
