Peter Joseph Fox

Peter Joseph Fox, a veteran of the US Army, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the age of 99. Peter was born on May 9, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Peter and Bridgett McCann Fox and is a retired captain with the NY City Fire Department. A memorial service celebrating Peter's life will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 2:00pm at Saint Ann Catholic Church in Clayton.

He is survived by his sons, Peter J. Fox and Stephen G. Fox; a daughter, Kathleen M. Bennek and her husband, Rich; grandchildren, Amy M. Fox, Jennifer E. Simoni and husband, Diglio, Joanna M. Soika and husband, Jon, Erin L. Reis and husband, Tim; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Edward Fox and a sister, Betty Stockwell; several nieces and nephews. in addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Josephine O'Brien Fox and several brothers and sisters.

A very special "thank you" to the staff of Transitions Hospice and Springbrook Rehab and Nursing Home for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Hocutt-Ellington library in Clayton.
