Peter was born June 12, 1963 in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was adopted by his parents Gretchen Perk and Arnold Weisenberg.
Peter was the OG of OG’s. He lived a beautiful and adventurous life traveling between Canada and The States for the earlier parts of his life. He settled in Rockland County, New York where he met the love of his life, his beautiful wife, Debbie. Peter had four outstanding children who were his pride and joy. Peter was a handsome and charismatic man that always found the light in the darkness. Peter was an extremely tenacious man and always made sure his family was well taken care of. He would go to the end of the earth for his wife and children. He was a master plumber by trade and had a work ethic like no other, enabling Debbie to be a stay at home mother to raise their children for 10+ years. Peter never met a stranger and had eyes on his children through other people at all times. From band competitions for Emily, volleyball
games for Julie, supporting Aaron with his online gaming, and BMX competitions for Jesse, Peter was always there, front row, cheering his children on for whichever activity they chose to be involved with at that time. Peter would research everything they needed and put his whole heart into making his kids dreams come true. He would brag to everyone about his children whether they asked to hear it or not! Peter was a 9/11 survivor and the ultimate hero. He dedicated months of his life to help clean up the tragedy of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. While on the pile he met Steven Tyler, a dream come true for the world’s biggest Aerosmith fan! With Peter making the sacrifice he did to help his country during this time, it is also what took his life far too soon. He was succumbed by multiple types of
cancer and had both kidneys removed amongst other ailments from being on the pile. Peter stayed positive for the last 5 years despite his illnesses. He spent lots of late nights in the garage giving guidance to his boys, always stole Julie’s phone to take funny selfies behind her back and took Emily to some of her favorite concerts and hockey games. Peter loved to get in the car for long drives with Debbie just to talk. One of his favorite pastimes was showing up to his children’s establishment of employment to embarrass them by taking photos and screaming their names like they were lost in the rainforest! Peter loved animals especially his dogs Jax, Ace(boopsy) and Bella-Boo. He had an exceptional memory and would often tell stories of himself growing up. He had a way with words to make you feel like you were there with him.
Peter loved to make people laugh with all sorts of jokes, his favorite being the made ya look and thumping you in the nose after he said you had something on your shirt! The authentic Peter had a very pure soul and lots of love to give. He called everyone ‘babe’ no matter your gender! He dedicated many years of his life to helping alcoholics and drug addicts find the path to serenity. Peter was an amazing man and will be dearly missed. His family knows that he will be sending signs for guidance and by our sides in spirit forever. Heaven gained the coolest angel, flipping the bird from the afterlife!
Peter was preceded in death by his mother Gretchen perk and his fur babies Alice, Trixie, Sadie and Kotalicious.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Deborah C. Weisenberg. His Children Emily Jane, Julie Anna, Aaron Jason and Jesse Thomas. His father Arnold Weisenberg and mother Reva Weisenberg. His In-laws Thomas and Kathleen Mitchell. Many extended family and friends.
"God, Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I can not change; the Courage to change the things I can; and the Wisdom to know the difference."
