A native of Gastonia, Rachel was born February 17, 1926 to the late Marvin Roscoe and Sara Blanche Ross Jenkins.
She is survived by her son, Bruce Edwards and his wife, Beverly; and grandson, Alex Edwards and wife, Theresa.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017, in the McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Dr. Mark White will be officiating.
