Ray was a devoted husband and parent whose love, kindness, and unwavering support shaped the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. He cherished time spent with family and found great joy in creating lasting memories with loved ones. His compassion, wisdom, and generosity will be remembered for generations.
In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann.
Ray is survived by his children, Brian and Linda; grandchild, Allison, sibling, Barbara, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will forever remember Ray for his strength, warmth, and the unconditional love he shared with everyone around him. His legacy will live on through the family he nurtured and the countless lives he touched.
Visitation will be held at McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel, 12830 Clayton boulevard, Clayton, NC on Friday August 7th, 2026 from 10:00am to 11:00am. A graveside service will follow at the adjacent Pinecrest Memorial Park at 11:00am.

Though deeply missed, Ray will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved them.
