A memorial service with military honors will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 30, 2025 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with a reception to follow.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday, May 30, 2025 at the funeral home, prior to the service.
He was born in Rhinebeck, New York on January 13, 1933 to the late Louis R. Asher and the late Helen Wetzler Asher.
Mr. Asher was a Veteran of the United States Navy and retired from IBM. He enjoyed family time, ocean cruises, gardening and reading.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara Capen Asher; children, Scott Marshall Asher and Robert Brett Asher; daughter-in-law Cornelia Asher; brother William Asher; and sister Marilou Asher.
