Ronald J. Iacono, our selfless patriarch, was born and raised in New York, NY by his Italian born parents, Joseph Iacono and Letizia (Intrieri) Iacono. He was 1 of 5 children: Marie (survived by), Lillian (deceased), Angelo (deceased), and his twin sister, Arlene (survived by). He entered into this world on August 14th, 1948 and was called home July 10th, 2021.
Ronnie retired after many years as a well-liked Supervisor in the United States Postal Service then retired as a SFC after serving 33 years in the United States Army and Reserves and relocated to North Carolina in 2008. He married his beautiful bride and Greek Goddess, Catherine (Cathy), on November 18th, 1977 and had 3 daughters whom he was very proud of. The eldest, Nicole (Nikki), was born in 1978 followed by Danielle in 1981, and then Lettina in 1982. He was also blessed with 8 grandchildren: Ariana, Micaela, Julius, Alizae, Liam, Aubrey, Ava, and Lukas. The cherry on top, Papa’s pride and joy, was Leilani, his great-granddaughter, born in 2019.
Ronnie was a huge family man and always went above and beyond to care for and support everyone he loved. He looked forward to watching Jeopardy every evening and spent his spare time watching game shows, checking his email, and loved food shopping looking for deals. He remains in all the hearts he has touched.
