

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm Saturday, March 8th 2025, at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton. Sandy was born in Rochester, New York on September 18th 1946, to Donald and Wanda Mills. Her passing has left a deep hole in the hearts of those who knew her, especially her family, who will always cherish her love, kindness, and caring spirit.
Sandy devoted her life to her children and grandchildren, and her love for them was evident in everything she did. She is survived by her son, Mark Pecora and his wife, Marnie; a daughter, Kerri Lee Starks and her husband, Criag; and son, Thomas James Pecora and his wife, Lyndsey, her brother, Gary Mills and his wife, Mary; as well as her beloved grandchildren: Nicholas Pecora, Matthew Pecora, Dayna Starks, Jason Starks, Olivia Pecora, and Leah Pecora.
Throughout her life, Sandy was a constant source of love, kindness, and joy. She took immense pride in her children and grandchildren. She was always there, offering a loving hug, her wonderful laugh and enjoyed bantering with those she held dear. Her nurturing spirit and gentle nature left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Sandy was one of selflessness and enjoyed spending time with her family. She had an incredible ability to make everyone feel loved and special. Her community will also remember her as a sweet, caring, and joyful woman who brightened the lives of everyone around her.
Sandy was a talented and creative woman, known for her beautiful decorative cakes and candy that she made for all kinds of celebrations. She loved to bake and take pride in creating something special for her loved ones. Her cakes became a beloved tradition in her family, always bringing smiles and joy.
In addition to her cake-making, Sandy enjoyed coloring in her coloring books. She would proudly display her vibrant creations on her walls and hallways. Her artwork reflected her joyful, colorful spirit.
Sandy’s legacy is one of love, laughter, creativity, and joy. She will always be remembered for her kind heart, her artistic spirit, witty humor and her deep love for her family.
