SHERRILL WAYNE CANADY August 7, 1936 – October 4, 2014 CLAYTON: Sherrill Wayne Canady, age 78, passed away Saturday, October 04, 2014 at Transitions Life Care Hospice Home in Raleigh. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, October 6, 2014 at Hocutt Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Steve Roy and Reverend Roger Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. He was a native of Johnston County and the son of the late Ralph Canady and the late Mearl Bizzell Canady. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Canady and his wife Etta Mae; brother-in-law, Sam Spence and his wife Lucille; brother-in-law, Waylon Spence; and a sister-in-law, Christine Hill and husband Charles; and brother-in-law W.B. Tharrington. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Spence Canady; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn Canady Pace and husband Jerry; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Canady and wife Sylvia, and Glenn Canady and wife Kathy; sisters-in-law, Brenda Spence Stephenson and husband Robert, Beatrice Tharrington , Ava Spence and Joyce Lipscomb Canady; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the church prior to the service.
