Sherry, who is a recent breast cancer survivor, earned her LPN license while her family was living in Lubbock, TX in the mid-1980s. After they moved back to Maine to be closer to family, she worked at Eastern Maine Medical Center for many years and later moved to North Carolina with her husband in 2006 where she worked as a dialysis nurse until she retired. She loved her family and friends with all her whole heart and always made an effort to keep in touch with as many as possible. She loved the outdoors, enjoying porch life, riding motorcycles with her husband and shopping at secondhand stores with her daughter and sisters.
She had many evenings of rolling laughter with family playing games like Aggravation, Cribbage, and Dummy Rummy being among her favorites. She was always thinking of others knowing that a small gift can make a huge difference to someone.
She is survived by her son, Richard Freeman, Jr. and wife Melissa of Smithfield, NC; daughter, Titana Freeman and fiancé, James McFee of Sedgwick, Maine; siblings, Sandra Dunton and Carlton Cole both of Maine & Kathy Parker of Florida. Many nieces and nephews as well as many very close friends - too many to mention.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Richard Freeman, Sr.; siblings, Nancy McKay, Lynda Parker, Sonny Cole, Reginald Cole and Norma Lavin.
