Shirley Price

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, June 19, 2026 at Horne Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Kim Lamb and Pastor Sherrie VanderVeen Smith officiating. Burial will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suffolk, Virginia.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the church, prior to the service.

Shirley was born in Suffolk, Virginia on March 4, 1932 to the late Clyde Thomas Green, Sr. and the late Sarah Virginia Moody Green. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Sixeas Price in 2002, and brothers Clyde (Abbie) Green Jr and Richard Green, and sister Bobbie Green Profit.

Mrs. Price was an avid gardener known for her prize-winning African Violets and her ability to make any plant spring to life with her gentle touch. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Sunday dinners with family were always the highlight of her week. Most of all she loved Jesus and sharing her faith with everyone she knew.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David Stephen Price and Kimberly Price; grandchildren, Christan and Savannah Price sister, Eleanor Poole, and several nieces and nephews.
