Shirley Ann Coats West was the daughter of Mamie Williams and Sam David Coats. Shirley grew up in the Cleveland School Community and graduated from Cleveland School in 1956. She attended Shiloh Baptist Church during her early years. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 2pm at Hills of the Neuse Memory Garden, 5820 US HWY 301 S., Four Oaks, NC 27524. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lloyd West, her parents, and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Ronnie Allen of Lillington and sisters, Cleo Beasley of Lumberton and Gala Hogg of Clayton.
