Steven Dana Cyr, 60, formerly of Danbury CT, unexpectedly passed away April 17, 2023 at his home in Clayton, NC. He was preceded in death by his loving father, Dana Owen Cyr. He leaves behind his beloved mother, Mary (Fairley) Cyr, his brother Nicholas and wife Tracy Cyr, nieces Nicole and MaryBeth, nephews Alexander, Christopher and Timothy, many cousins, and numerous treasured friends. He also leaves behind his four legged "children" Gemma, Ju-Ju, Jack, Can Can and Amelia.
Steve was a long time breeder of Old English Sheepdogs and French Bulldogs. He cherished the friendships and relationships he cultivated through the breeding community. The only thing bigger than Steve's personality was his heart and the love, loyalty and dedication for his friends and family.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 6th at 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Mint Hill, NC. Reception will follow at Omega Coney Island in Indian Trail, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Carolina Old English Sheepdog Rescue or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
