Sue “Maw Maw” Lawrence Hardee, 74, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Sue was born July 4, 1942 to the late Rufus and Gladys Thomas Lawrence. Sue loved cooking and gardening, which allowed her to spend time watching the birds. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 3, 2017, at 4pm, in the McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel, 12830 US 70 Business Highway West, Clayton, NC 27520. She is survived by her son, John Michael Hardee; grandson, Ryan Hardee and wife, Brittany; granddaughter, Kristina Lee; great grandson, Tanner Lee; sister, Marilyn Ortiz and husband, Daniel; and brothers, Charles Bullins and wife, Joyce and Gary “Butch” Lawrence.
