Thomas Page Harrison, 73 of Clayton, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 21, 2021. His love of his life, who he lovingly called Luci, and immediate family members were at his side.
Tom was born on April 5, 1948 in Lonoke, Arkansas. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, Retired Engineer with CP&L and a loyal Duke fan. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. During his early years he was very active in the music ministry at Wake Chapel in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Among his most proud accomplishments were those of being a loving, caring, and compassionate husband, father and PopPop.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marie Harrison. Tom is survived by his wife, Portia, his sons, Joshua Harrison of Willow Springs, NC and Michael Harrison of Orlando, Florida; his daughters, Charlotte Harrison and Sonya Pearson and husband, Mike of Fuquay-Varina, NC; his sisters, Carolyn Malone and husband, Larry of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Vicki Higgins and husband, Weldon (deceased) of Farmington, NM; 5 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
The Harrison family extends their heartfelt appreciation and love to their family and friends along with all the doctors, nurses and staff at Duke Hospital who joined Tom in his battle against this terrible disease. Tom did not allow cancer to change him from the compassionate husband, father and PopPop he has always been.
The family hopes that we all are comforted in knowing that he was ready to be with his Savior Jesus Christ, the Great Physician. Well done my good and faithful servant.
