Virginia June Tread Kidd

Funeral services for Mrs. Kidd will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 24, 2026, in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 Clayton Boulevard, Clayton, North Carolina, with Pastor Randy Browder of Fayetteville Steet Baptist Church, officiating.

Entombment will follow at the Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the funeral home, prior to the service.

She was born in Fayette County, West Virginia, on October 30, 1942, to the late James L. Tread and the late Eula Burnett Tread. She was preceded in death by her great granddaughter Hailey Nicole Kidd.

Mrs. Kidd enjoyed spending time with her large family, traveling, and southern gospel music.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard Franklin Kidd, Jr.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Lora Kidd, and Gary and Cheryl Kidd; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 6 brothers and sisters, James (Frank) Tread, Richard (Dick) Tread and wife Linda, Donna Chubb and husband Steve, Lewis (Eddie) Tread, Dora McLaughlin, and Robin Laiti and husband Aaron.
