Wanda Marie Davis

A native of Haywood County, Wanda was born on June 22, 1939 to the late James Andrew and Pearl Mehaffey Ball. Her husband, Joseph J. Davis, Sr., was the love of her life. She lost him much too young and at the age of 58 she turned all her attention to her children and grandchildren. Family was all she ever needed and to her last day, she missed Joe.

She is survived by her sons, Jim Davis (OR), Joe Davis, Jr. (AL), Dwayne Davis (NC), Kevin Davis (VA), Gordon Davis (NC), and Scott Davis (VA); daughters, Jacqueline Davis (AZ) and Tracy Bernard (KY); 21 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; sisters, Audrey Nay (SC), Theresa Shanzer (SC), and Mary Lee Hutchins (NC). In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Mack, grandson, Tim Davis, and a baby great granddaughter, Chloe Millard.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11am in the McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel, 12830 US HWY 70 Business West, Clayton, NC 27520. Interment will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Wednesday evening at Mclaurin Funeral Home.
