Wesley Frederick Geyer

Born on November 9, 1957, in Abington, Pennsylvania, Wes grew up in Northeast Philadelphia, where he developed the straightforward nature and strong work ethic that would define him throughout his life. He spent his career working in the oil, construction, and maintenance industries and was known for his determination to get the job done.

Wes is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbie Geyer; his son, Christopher Geyer and wife Laura; his daughter, Melissa Justice and husband Nick; his grandchildren, Genevieve Geyer, Jackson Justice, Olivia Justice, and Clayton Justice; and his sister, Cynthia Guertse and her husband, Scott.

Of all the roles Wes held throughout his life, being "Pap" was the one he treasured most. His four grandchildren were the light of his life, and nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with them, cheering them on, making them laugh, and creating memories they will carry with them forever.

In life, Wes enjoyed golfing, watching football, and was a lifelong fan of Star Trek. He had a lifelong passion for bowling, and created lasting memories bowling alongside his wife, Debbie and brother-in-law, Rob Wood. In 1989 Wes achieved a remarkable “perfect” 300 game and loved to tell the tale to his adoring grandchildren.

Wes is fondly remembered by those close to him as often being the loudest one in the room. While he was a stickler for punctuality, never failed to share his opinion, and was stubborn in the ways that only a father can be, he never failed to make everyone laugh. These unique qualities are what made him the memorable husband, father, and grandfather that will always be remembered and deeply missed.

A private memorial service for close family and friends will be held in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, where those who loved Wes will gather to celebrate his life and the countless memories he created.
