He was born in Robeson County, North Carolina on January 15, 1942 to the late Chester Lee Bunting and the late Mary Webb Bunting.
Mr. Bunting was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation after 31 years of loyal service as a Roadway Design Engineer. He enjoyed traveling, computers, spending time with family, good hamburgers, and bright flashlights.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances Lee Bunting; his three children, Pamela Moore (Wayne) of Raleigh, Teresa Mackay (Chris) of Youngsville, and Bill Bunting (Sara) of Charlotte, NC; his three grandchildren, Jeffrey Moore, Taylor Moore, and Alex Mackay; and his sister, Nancy Sawyer.
