

Bill was born in Roseboro, NC, on November 22, 1952, to the late Albert Lee Sessoms and Mary Sessoms Ray.
Bill served in the US Air Force for 20 years as a jet engine mechanic and supervisor who achieved the rank of SMSgt. He was always praised for his work ethic and received early promotions. After retiring from the Air Force, he settled in Clayton, NC, and worked as a skilled tech writer. He was a Godly family man and avid fisherman. Bill was a dedicated and loyal husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 2:00pm at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, located at 2920 Veterans Pkwy, Clayton, NC 27520. A reception will be held at the family’s home in Clayton after the service.
Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Melody Hall Sessoms; children, Charlie and Carrie, and grandchild, Willie.
The family extends a heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Billy Flowers, Bill's God-sent caretaker and "best buddy."
