He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Drake and her husband, John of Middlesex; granddaughter, Crystal Hibbard and her husband, Josh; grandson, Kyle Sasser; great grandchild, Emma Rose Hibbard; brothers, Charles Sasser, Sherwood Sasser, Edward Sasser and Terry Sasser.
In addition to his parents, Yates is also preceded in death by his wife, Eldora Ann Sasser; a son, Allen Sasser; brother, Leon Sasser and sister, Joyce Ann Sasser.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton from 2:00 until 4:00pm.
