Bonnie Ryea Cresto, 84, passed away suddenly at her home in Easton, Washington on Monday, May 23, 2016.
Bonnie was born to John A. Gray and Louise D. Gray on August 13, 1931 in Spokane, Washington. She was one of five children. Bonnie and her family lived in Chewelah, Washington where she graduated from Chewelah High School, May 25, 1950.
After graduation, she moved to Easton, Washington where she met her husband. Bonnie married Johnny A. Cresto of Easton, Washington on August 9, 1952. For 63 years they remained devoted to each other and their two sons.
Bonnie’s most cherished memories came from spending time at the family cabin which brought together four generations of family. Endless summer days were spent swimming in the lake, jumping off the diving board, and fishing from the shore. These are lasting memories that our grateful hearts will treasure forever.
She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, fishing, crabbing and shrimping on the Hood Canal and spending her summers in the San Juan Islands. Going to the house on the Hood Canal, staying the summers at the West Beach Resort on Orcas Island, and Salmon fishing in Neah Bay. These are memories she cherished and experiences that will never be forgotten by her family.
She is survived by her husband Johnny A. Cresto of Easton, WA with whom she shared 63 years of marriage together; their two sons, Johnathan Cresto of Brinnon, WA and Kirk Cresto (and wife Laura Cresto) of Cle Elum, WA; five grandchildren, Tanya Cresto, Denise Case (and husband Jeff), Ashley Peterson (and husband Jason), Brian Cresto (and wife Rachael) and Breanne Cresto; and five great-grandchildren Karter Cresto, Kennedy and Quinn Peterson, Brenna Cresto and Owen Case.
Those who knew Bonnie would say that she was a women of few words and a loving spirit. In honor of that spirit, she will be privately laid to rest at Laurel Hill Memorial Park in Cle Elum, Washington surrounded by her family.
