Dear Phil  Well I have written this letter 3 times and it just hasn't been posted.  I am so sorry I wasn't with you when you checked out of this world.  We had just talked and I was so shocked and still am. I love you so much and I am going to miss you so very very much.  It hurts so much to think your gone.  Our plans on moving to Az. and all our fishing and hunting trips will be so lonely without you there.  You have been such an awesome brother and I have been so proud to be you little sis.  I use to get so tickled when we would talk and you would call me preacher women, because I was always telling you about Jesus and Heaven.  Well now you know I was telling the truth.  Thank God for the scriptures that promises me, my household is saved.  Acts16:31.  I know that if you could come back and tell everyone something, the first words you would say would be Jesus is real and that you need to ask him into your life.  heaven is a real place and is awesome.  I will be seeing you soon brother because this world is coming to a close.  Jesus will be coming back soon for all his people.  So until we meet again I love you so much and I am going to really miss you and all our talks.  Save me a place on that fishing bank so I can catch a few with you.  love your sis Melanie

Never met my brother in law in person, but I was really looking forward to moving too Arizona and getting to know him doing some hunting and fishing together. Love you and will miss you for a while Philip, but I know because of the Promise we have in Acts 16:31 that I will see you when I reach heaven. Have a good time while you wait on the rest of us Bro.
P.S. Tell Jesus we said hi, and we love Him.

I loved Philip with all my heart.  I keep hoping that this is just one of his jokes & he will be calling me soon, to say "Gotcha".  I miss him and his smile and laugh.  He seemed like a big bear to me when I was a little girl.  My first memories of him, is standing in his garage, by his and Pat's home in Kirkland, WA.  " This is a Jeep", he said.  All the little, maybe 4 or 5 year old, me saw was the bottom metal skeleton of the Jeep.  He had to explain it to me, and help me envision, what it would become.  He was rebuilding it.  It was about that time that I first remember our Dad, Odell E. Fearn, describing Phil as a real "Artist" as an auto body man.  I learned then, that it is not what something is that is important, it is what it can be.

Phil was much older than me, but he was very sweet & loving to his little sister.  Phil's first wife, Pat, said that it was hard for Phil to show love.  But he showed it in the little things that he did or said.  You knew he cared for you, when he pulled your leg with his often dry sense of humor.  He always seemed to have a private joke on you.  Even if you didn't think something was funny, he did.  

He was a long time member of the Kirkland, WA Eagles Lodge and for many years attended the Cle Elum Eagles Lodge.  He has many friends in both Lodges and I want to thank them all for their friendship to Philip.

I miss you Philip.  You are not only my brother, but you are one of my best friends.  I will miss being able to call you and discuss the highs and lows of my life.  I Love You!  I hope and pray that I will see you again someday in Heaven.
