
Ted was born 2/12/1953 to Ralph Tidd and Phyllis (Tushscher) Tidd in Wausau, Wisconsin. He died 7/4/2016 in Cle Elum, Washington. Ted was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Ora R. Tidd. He is survived by his father, a sister Debra Dumdey (James) Kronenwetter, WI and a brother Scott Tidd (Angelina) Greenwood, MO. Ted graduated from Wausau East High School where his love of the outdoors had him running track and cross country. Boy Scouts lead him to camping and canoeing where he and his rowing partner won trophies every year on the Wisconsin River Races.
He attended UWMC until the Army wanted him to drive a tank and learn E.D.M. (electronic distance measurement) and that lead him to surveying. After discharge, he attended UWSP and finished the last 2 years of schooling in Madison, WI where he got his license to survey.
Ted started his own business in California, then moved to Washington and settled in the Seattle/Cle Elum area.
Ted loved the outdoors and fishing. He traveled half the world to catch fish. He took his dad to Alaska for salmon and halibut fishing. He did his musky fishing in Ashland County, WI on lakes where President Eisenhower fished.
