A. Christine Owens

Mrs. Owens was born December 25, 1948 in Philipsburg, the daughter of Franklin B. and Annie (Knee) English.

She was a homemaker and loving mother.

Mrs. Owens was Methodist by Faith.

She enjoyed being with her family, grandchildren and talking with friends.

Mrs. Owens is survived by two children; Kevin Owens and his wife Rhonda and Kelly McCracken and her husband Mark all of Clearfield, five grandchildren; Megan, Zach, Madison and Nathan Owens and Amanda McCracken, a sister, Roseann Yarger and her husband Paul of Sanborn, two brothers; Franklin B. English, Jr., and his wife Margie of Ohio and Barry English and his wife Corrine of Mt. Jewett and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold R. “Red” Owens who passed away September 7, 2012 and whom she married February 26, 1966, a sister Carolyn Royer and a brother, Russell D. English.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with Rev. Kenneth Pry officiating. Interment will be at Crown Crest Memorial Park.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday November 11, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of services.

The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Go 4 The Goal Foundation ,In honor of Gavin Royer. 215 Cuthbert Blvd., Suite 150, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002. Gavin Royer is 5 years old and is her nephew's son who is battling a brain tumor.
