Annabell "Gert" J. Brown

She was born August 13, 1928 in Clearfield, the daughter of John H. and Anna B. (Shimmel) Brown.

Ms. Brown was a graduate of Clearfield High School, Class of 1947.

Following high school she worked for the former McCorys and then went on to work for the Clearfield Municipal Authority as their Office Manager of which she retired.

She was a lifetime member of the former Mt. Hope United Methodist Church where she served as Organist.

Ms. Brown was also a member of the Secretaries Organization.

Annabell was a strong Christian woman who had a smile for everyone and was loved by all who knew her and the kindness she extended to others.

She is survived by her nephew, Ron Hummel and his wife Nancy of Clearfield as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

Annabell was the last member of her generation having been preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Norma Hummel and six brothers; James, Kenneth, Leon, Carl, John and Hershell Brown.

Funeral Services will be held at the Centre Grove United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 12:00 PM with Mr. Jim Kane officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.

Per the request of the church, masks are required for the visitation and service.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
